About Rich

From a young age, I was drawn to the world of DC and Marvel comics, which I would buy from the local newsagents. The comics were strategically placed on the bottom shelves for kids, making them easily accessible. This sparked my dream of becoming a comic book artist.

I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit, starting as a DJ at 19 and later launching a window cleaning business at 21. Over the years, I’ve owned a clothing shop, a T-shirt label, and a record store. I still manage a record label and produce music. My creativity drives me to explore various industries.

I got my first tattoo at 33 while apprenticing at a tattoo studio, inspired by the incredible tattoo art I saw on social media. This led me to pursue tattooing seriously, and before long, I was getting tattooed by some of the industry's top artists.

A year into my tattoo career, I found a great space in Sutton Coldfield—the same area where I used to clean windows—and opened my own studio, Dark Horse Collective. It’s a unique space dedicated to tattooing, creating art, and hosting seminars led by some of the world’s best artists.

I’m constantly travelling to conventions and studios worldwide, always eager to learn from other artists and seminars. I’ve been fortunate to receive awards at some of the best shows in Europe, but my desire to learn never stops. I continue to attend conventions and get tattooed by artists I admire.

Most recently, I created a tattoo retreat at my second home, Ibiza. The first edition was a huge success, and I plan to host many more in the coming years. Check out @ibizatattooretreat for more info!
